RAID drive selection
Previous Topic  Next Topic

There are two menus required to set up a RAID for CnW Recovery.  The first is drive selection, and the second is the configuration

To start configuring a RAID it is necessary to select the number of drives, and then define each drive.  A drive can either be a physical drive, a file image, or defined as missing.  The example above is for 4 disk images.

It is not essential to select the drives in the correct order as the analysis will determine this.  However, if the order is known, it makes manual analysis rather easier

To create a new configuration, enter the required name in the New Configuration box, then select 'Create'.  At this point select the number of drives, and then enter details for each drive.

The RAID type is selected on thsi screen, and then the relevant configuration screen can be accessed to set up details of stripes etc.
